Public-i is pleased to announce we’ll be exhibiting at the LGA Annual Conference in Birmingham from the 4th – 6th July.
The LGA Annual Conference is the first major local government event to take place after the elections (and massive turnout from youth voters). There are also bound to be some questions asked with a new minority government – how will this affect councils?
The LGA Annual Conference and innovation
The conference gives councils the opportunity to explore new ways of working. Most of all, ways of doing more with less. Working with over 100 local authorities, we think about this too. That’s why we’ve developed solutions to make things easier.
SpaceManager can manage your entire meeting space. From one interface, officers can operate all parts of the meeting:
• Microphones: You can check the battery life of up to 150 microphones (without stepping foot on the Chamber floor).
• Queuing: The Chair can manage who speaks and when. You can also deactivate a microphone from the software if someone has left it on. This requires no set-up. Data is pulled directly from the microphones.
• Timer: Set pre-defined/custom times with the inbuilt speaker timer. This changes colour (from green to orange and red) as time runs out. Importantly, this can be displayed on any screen (of any size). It removes the need for any other Chamber timer system.
• Vote results: SpaceManager displays real-time vote results into the room. Furthermore, these can be stored as a permanent record. You can also export the data in Excel & PDF.
If you’re using our webcasting services already, they can be controlled inside SpaceManager.
Affordable and supported transparency
There are many ways to webcast, e.g. YouTube, Facebook Live etc. However, you’re more supported using a webcast provider. Unfortunately, these just weren’t cost effective for everyone.
We can offer a solution. You can now trial streaming by the hour – without a contract. Our pay-as-you-go webcasting services are available from £75 per hour.
If you’re not webcasting but have microphones and cameras – we can still help. Our Camera Control software directs cameras to microphones without an operator. You can use the video feed for break-out rooms and projectors and the stream can also be recorded. Camera Control works with all leading audio suppliers. Therefore, no matter how old your system is – it will work.
We’ll be live streaming the conference, join the conversation on Twitter with #LGAconf17.
